The first stage when transferring a

arranges for the seller to fill in some enquiry forms. The conveyancing
solicitors then prepare a contract and sends this out with a
legal information pack. The house buying documents are looked at and the lawyers answer
enquiries from the buyers solicitor and arrange the moving date. Once the moving date is know, bills for expenses are sent and a legal pack is received from the sellers solicitors.
After the initial stage the exchange of contracts comes next which is when the sellers solicitors or licenced conveyancers receives the buyers' deposit and obtain a settlement figure for any mortgage on the property. They then approve the transfer deed and arrange for the seller to sign it. The buyers invloved in the house buying process send the buyers contract and deposit to the sellers' people who produced their documents for the house buying and prepare

for completion.
